Yoga will always be my first love and primary form of exercise. However, I believe that a training program should incorporate multiple modalities in order to avoid gaps. Outside of yoga, I love to walk, hike, and occasionally run. My favorite trails in Colorado include:
- Pitkin Lake, Gore Lake, and Deluge Lake Trails, Vail
- Missouri and Fancy Lakes Loop, Holy Cross Wilderness
- Blue Lakes, Telluride
I struggle to motivate myself with traditional weightlifting but I absolutely love Lagree classes. Often mistaken for “reformer Pilates,” Lagree is a low impact, high intensity form of resistance training practiced on a spring loaded machine. I currently practice and teach at PLNK at their MTN location in Avon, CO. For more information about Lagree, please visit PLNK‘s website, or reach out to me for information.
Currently I teach at PLNK MTN during the following times:
- Wednesdays 4:30 and 5:30 PM
- Fridays 11:30 AM, 4:30 and 5:30 PM
Products
Yoga Mats & Props
- My Liforme yoga mat is hands down the best mat I have ever used. I have a regular & travel mat and absolutely love that I don’t slip even in a heated sweaty room.
- For a lightweight option, a cork yoga mat is absorptive with a great grip – I have an ancient one that still holds up well but I have no idea what brand it it!
- I prefer Cork Yoga Blocks because they are sturdier than foam.
- I use a Yoga Wheel often for backbending.
Clothing
The pieces that I reach for most often are from Lululemon and Beyond Yoga. Their products are comfortable, flattering, and hold up well over time!
